Youth Ceramics: Learning to Work with Clay (Ages 6-9)

Saturdays, 9:30 - 11:00 am

If you have worked with clay before, or if this is your first class, join us!  This class will explore basic ways of working with clay to create all kinds of objects, from bowls and cups to creatures from your imagination… so many possibilities!  Learning essential hand-building methods is an important step towards more advanced ways of working with claythis class is a perfect stepping stone that can lead to success in future classes.

With a focus on good technique and great ideas, instructor Nina will lead students through a series of projects that allow plenty of room for sharing their individuality and inspiration.  There will be 4 work meetings during the course of this class, and a final meeting to collect everyone’s original creations after firing in the kilns.

This class is open to students ages 6-9.
Skill Level: 1-3, All levels welcome.
