MARLBORO STUDIO SCHOOL COVID-19 POLICY
Marlboro Studio School asks all students, staff, and studio technicians to maintain a high level of vigilance about their personal health and hygiene. If you are not feeling well, please stay home!
Please do not come to campus until at least 5 days have passed since the onset of symptoms or a positive COVID-19 test, and after you have started to test negative. Students, staff, studio technicians, and all other visitors must bring evidence (a time stamped picture is ok) of a negative test prior to returning to campus after a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19. Those returning to campus after COVID-19 isolation period are required to wear a face-covering (KN-95 or better) while on campus for a minimum of five days after isolation period has ended.
MASKING/FACE COVERINGS
The Marlboro Studio School is not currently requiring the use of masks/face coverings on campus. Masking will be at the discretion of each individual. Marlboro Studio School students who elect to mask should plan to provide their own masks; Marlboro Studio School will not provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to students.
The Studio School kindly asks those who were recently infected with, or exposed to, COVID-19 to wear a mask while on campus to protect our community. VACCINATION GUIDELINES
The Marlboro Studio School is not currently requiring program participants to be up to date on COVID-19 vaccination.
COVID-19 HEALTH SCREENING
Marlboro Studio School is not currently requiring any COVID-19 health screening to participate in on-campus programming. All students and staff are strongly encouraged to take a precautionary measures to protect themselves and the community from COVID-19 prior to arriving on campus, including vaccinations and boosters, and a self-administered rapid-response COVID-19 test before their class begins.
COVID RESPONSE
If you experience any symptoms associated with COVID-19 during your time at Marlboro Studio School, please immediately isolate and notify your instructor and/or the Marlboro Studio School administrative staff (school@marlborostudioschool.org). All cases will be handled with confidentiality.
In the event that someone on the Marlboro Studio School campus tests positive for COVID-19, Marlboro Studio School staff will notify close-contacts (defined by the CDC as “being within 6 feet for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period with someone with SARS-CoV-2 infection.”), with respect for the privacy of all students.
Anyone sharing a studio or housing with someone who tests positive for COVID will be required to wear a mask (KN95 or better) in all shared, indoor spaces for minimum10 days after the last possible exposure, regardless of symptom presence.
COVID-19 RESPONSE: WEEK-LONG RESIDENTIAL WORKSHOPS
If you experience any symptoms associated with COVID-19 during your time at Marlboro Studio School, please immediately isolate and notify your instructor and/or the Marlboro Studio School administrative staff (school@marlborostudioschool.org). All cases will be handled with confidentiality.
Any student who exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 during a residential workshop will be required to take a self-administered rapid-response COVID-19 test (Marlboro Studio School does not provide COVID-19 tests but may assist with obtaining tests for residential students on a case-by-case basis).
Should a residential student test positive for COVID-19 during a week-long workshop, they will be excused from the program and asked to arrange timely transportation home (Marlboro Studio School staff may assist in coordinating transportation to a testing site, medical facility, or to local accommodations for isolation). Marlboro Studio School will not be held responsible for refunding personal travel expenses, including but not limited to airfare, car rental, etc.
In the event that a residential student tests positive for COVID-19 during a multi-day workshop term, that student may request a prorated partial refund for missed studio time. Room & board costs will not be refunded.
